The Cooking Show Announces Kitchen Demo Stage And Presenting Sponsor
The Cooking Show 2003, a Triangle event scheduled
for October at the Raleigh Convention Center, announced that Kitchen and Bath
Galleries will be the presenting sponsor of the event. In addition to Kitchen and Bath
Galleries, the Cooking Show is also pleased to announce the presence of Intermezzo
Magazine as a Media Sponsor.
The Cooking Show is a public event that celebrates the art of cooking, eating and
enjoying good food and wine. Attractions include cooking demonstrations, food and
wine samples, and exhibits by local and national food and cookware companies.
Kitchen and Bath Galleries, North Carolina's complete resource for your new Kitchen or
Bath, will provide the main demonstration stage kitchen with the latest in stylish
appliances and cabinetry. TV celebrity chef Alton Brown, who writes, produces, directs,
and stars in each episode of his offbeat and entertaining cooking show, will use the
Kitchen and Bath Galleries stage for his demonstrations as will local chef demonstrators.
Kitchen And Bath Galleries is excited to be part of this unique cooking and community
event. We really see this as an opportunity to interact with cooking enthusiasts and
introduce new kitchen technology and design. Plus, we think that this is a great reason for
the community to come together and celebrate the art of cooking, said Kathy Wilfong, Marketing Director for Kitchen and Bath Galleries.
Intermezzo Magazine, a Media Sponsor at the Cooking Show, is a new magazine that
explores a variety of cuisine, cooking, home, leisure, and travel.
An initial list of exhibitors at the event include Chef Mario's Personal Chef Service, Chez
Bay Gourmet, Desi's Dew Meadery, Johnson and Wales University, and The Sanderling,
and speakers include Dilip Barman, President of the Triangle Vegetarian Society,
Madeleine Calder, owner of Blue Heaven Ostrich, Lila Chung of Delight Foods, Sheri
Castle, teacher of many popular Triangle cooking classes, Jan Curry, creator of edible
arts, Dave Kranyik, owner of a private events catering business, and Christine Zambito,
executive chef at The Sanderling in Duck, NC.
Additionally, the Cooking Show will donate a portion of the event proceeds to the Family
Violence Prevention Center of Orange County and will accept canned or other nonperishable
items at the event to donate to the Food Bank of North Carolina.
The Cooking Show promises to be an all day culinary adventure where families can stir
or saute, eat, explore, meet with speciality food producers, gourmet merchants, kitchen
and equipment manufacturers, personal chefs, kitchen designers, and anyone who enjoys
food and anything associated with it. This is the place to get ideas on anything from
sushi to stir-fry, learn how to cook unique meals, cook with kids, plan for your next
entertaining event, check out the latest in commercial-quality cooking equipment for the
home, or simply book a personal chef for your Thanksgiving dinner.
