Bayer Plastics Honored Again By GE Appliances
For the third consecutive year and the fifth time in the last seven years, Bayer Corporation's Plastics Division has been honored by General Electric's Appliances business with a Distinguished Supplier Award. The award, given to only a few suppliers each year, recognizes outstanding performance in service, quality, innovation and productivity.
Bayer supplies GE Appliances with acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene resin, styrene acrylonitrile, and polycarbonate for use in home appliances.
This award is becoming more and more select. This year Bayer Plastics was one of only 10 suppliers named to receive the award and one of only two resin companies chosen from GE Appliances' total North American supplier base, said Ron Ganote, Bayer's account manager for GE Appliances.
In presenting the award to Bayer's Plastics Division, GE Appliances highlighted Bayer's quality record, productivity contributions and outstanding service. The appliance manufacturer also acknowledged Bayer's efforts to keep GE Appliances' plants running efficiently, without interruptions.
Bayer's product quality and delivery were outstanding, explained Donald Willian, a GE Appliances purchasing agent for resins and plastics. This helped to keep GE Appliances competitive in a very tough market.
Bayer's Plastics Division and GE Appliances have a relationship that dates back more than 30 years, according to Ron Ganote, Bayer's Account Manager for GE Appliances. Over the years, we have worked hard to provide GE Appliances with top-notch service and quality, said Ganote. Winning this award for the fifth time in seven years indicates that our hard work is paying off.
