Three Distinct Categories Of Flatware: Catering, Bridal Registry And Standard

Whether you’re a caterer, a bride or a shopper in need of new flatware, Gourmet Standard has the perfect set for you! Gourmet Standard, a designer and manufacturer of high-quality culinary equipment, has divided its flatware offerings into three distinct categories, making it even simpler to purchase the perfect design at a perfect price. The flatware patterns will be divided into Catering, Bridal Registry and Standard categories.

A major key to Gourmet Standard’s success has been our commitment to customer service, said Susan Georgulas, director of sales and marketing, Gourmet Standard. By creating different categories for catering, bridal registry and mass merchants, we are better able to tailor products for each market’s needs. For example, the registry market demands a more expensive line of stainless flatware, while the catering market needs many additional flatware pieces that aren’t necessary for others.

Catering

Available in Fall 2003, the Catering category will include the Euro, Villa and Eclipse patterns. The category is designed especially for professionals in the catering business and in addition to the standard pieces includes iced tea spoons, bouillon or soup spoons and butter knives. The three patterns are available as open stock.

Bridal Registry

Developed for fine department stores, the four lines in the Registry category include Arizona Gold, Juliet Gold, Harmony and BelAire. The patterns are made of a heavy gauge stainless steel, providing a tremendous value. In addition, some of the patterns are also available with gold trim, which are perfect for special occasions. Currently available, the flatware is offered in a 20-, 45- and 65-piece set.

Standard

Available now to mass merchant retailers, the Standard category includes seven patterns: Rattan, Doric Satin, Jane, Imagine, Juliet, Romeo and Tuscany. These exquisite patterns provide consumers with the same quality flatware found at fine department stores, minus the hefty price tag. The standard category will offer 20-piece and 45-piece sets, as well as open stock packs.

Designed with mirror finished 18/10 stainless steel, the majority of Gourmet Standard’s flatware is designed in a higher gauge, 3mm or 4mm, while still remaining competitively priced.
