Coleman Introduces Big Grillin' Griddle Combo

Camp cooks and backyard brunch hosts who enjoy fixing mammoth breakfasts on griddles, and who prefer to grill meats and vegetables using a smokeless system will welcome the new super-sized, dual-purpose propane Grillin’ Griddle cooking appliance by The Coleman Company, Inc. With a cooking surface 20 percent larger than standard stovetop griddles, the new Coleman Grillin’ Griddle answers the call from consumers who say bigger is better. Versatility is its forte, thanks to a reversible top that features a ridged grilling surface on one side and a more traditional smooth griddle surface on the flip side. The ridged side is ideal for grilling fish, chicken and meats of all kinds without flare-ups. Fresh vegetables lightly oiled and seasoned also can be grilled to a succulent perfection. The griddle, a favorite of many breakfast specialists, is big enough to prepare bacon, eggs, pancakes and hashbrowns for the whole family.

The removable cooking surface has a non-stick coating for simple cleanups, either by hand or in a dishwasher. Grease management is important with any griddle, which typically sees a lot of duty frying bacon, sausage and burgers. Coleman has designed integral channels that drain the grease away from the meat and into a removable reservoir, which has an easy-pour spout and is dishwasher-safe.

Consistent, uniform heat for picture-perfect pancakes is accomplished by Coleman’s EvenTemp burner control system. The 9,000-Btu burner, which offers more cooking power than most indoor electric units, is fully adjustable. An electronic ignition system offers convenient, no-matches-needed lighting.

Mounted on a wide, stable base, the Coleman Grillin’ Griddle tabletop appliance will perform a variety of cooking duties outside, be they at home on the patio or deck, at a picnic or tailgate party, or on a family camping trip. It operates up to four hours on a standard, 16.4-ounce disposable propane cartridge. The propane cartridge can be attached by simply pushing it into place, thanks to Coleman’s Easy Connect fuel system. Or, the Grillin’ Griddle appliance can be operated from a bulk propane cylinder by attaching it with an optional 5-foot, high-pressure hose and adapter for $20. The appliance’s pressure-regulated propane system assures consistent cooking performance even in cold weather, high altitudes or when the fuel is low.
