Coleman Offers Two Versions Of Convenient Propane Grill Stove

The popular tabletop grill-stove combination from The Coleman Company, Inc. is now available in two convenient propane versions – matchlight and electronic ignition. Coleman received critical praise when it introduced its innovative Coleman Powermax Grill Stove in 1998. Finally, an easy, efficient way to cook and grill at the same time. However, campers and tailgaters alike wanted the versatility of the grill stove combined with the convenience of their preferred fuel choice: propane. In 2000 Coleman demonstrated once again its ability to respond to the wants and needs of consumers by introducing its Propane Grill Stove with Electronic Ignition. This year Coleman offers a new option with its matchlight version of the Propane Grill Stove.

The grill stove combination features a grilling unit on the left – perfect for steaks, chicken, chops, burgers, brauts, hot dogs … you name it. On the right side is a powerful burner for making coffee, frying eggs, boiling corn on the cob, or just about any kind of cooking that outdoor chefs need to do.

The 145-square-inch grill is large enough to hold four steaks or eight hamburgers. An optional griddle can be added to interchange with the grill for even more versatility when cooking breakfast, lunch or dinner. The griddle is chefs’ choice for cooking pancakes, sausage & eggs, hashbrowns, grilled cheese, Philly cheesesteak and much more.

The Coleman Propane Grill Stove is compact and portable, small enough to take on all kinds of outings, yet large enough to provide the cooking surfaces needed for preparing favorite meals. It’s perfect for camping, tailgating, beach parties and numerous other outdoor cooking venues.

Each 10,000-Btu burner is independently controlled. Flame and heat output is simple to control with knobs conveniently located on the front of the unit. The Grill Stove will run up to four hours using a standard, 16.4-ounce disposable propane cylinder, or it can be attached to a bulk propane cylinder with an optional 5-foot, high-pressure hose and adapter for $20. The appliance’s pressure-regulated propane system assures consistent cooking performance even in cold weather, high altitudes or when the fuel is low.

A removable drip tray underneath the grilling surface makes it easy to collect and dispose of any grease. The non-stick cooking surfaces can be removed for cleaning, even in a dishwasher. And the lid is removable should chefs wish to use oversized pots or pans.
