Blanco Canada Extends Silgranit Sink Collection

BLANCO CANADA broadens its already extensive offering of SILGRANIT sinks. Launched at IIDEX NeoCon on September 13, 2001 the AXIA 8 and AXIA 8S are prime examples of BLANCO’s expertise in the field of sink design and fabrication. BLANCO takes the sink several steps forward and creates units that are both aesthetically appealing and extremely well-designed. For greater functionality, BLANCO adds an optional tempered glass cutting board that slides across the sink and a stainless steel colander.

BLANCO CANADA offers the AXIA 8 and AXIA 8S in three colours: white, jasmine (biscuit/beige), anthracite (dark grey) and night blue will be added. These sinks have already caught the eyes of designers. The square-shaped double bowls boast generous proportions and measure 8 inches deep. The AXIA 8S features a mechanical pop-up strainer and incorporates a drainboard which is ideal for drying dishes and preparing food. The AXIA 8 measures 31 ½ inches x 20 inches and fits comfortably inside a 33inches wide sink cabinet. Both sinks offer knock-out holes that accommodate additional accessories on the faucet deck.

SILGRANIT is a coloured material made from 80% granite and is an excellent alternative to stainless steel. It provides a matte surface which is warm and inviting, extremely durable and resistant to chips and scratches. It is heat resistant to 280°C allowing you to place a pot straight off the stove onto the sink without causing any damage. SILGRANIT is also coloured throughout, non-porous and non-fading which means the appearance will remain consistent for years. SILGRANIT is also very resilient to stains. Pasta sauce, ketchup, juices, tea and coffee stains are easily wiped away with a non-abrasive cleaner such as BLANCOCLEAN. Any chemicals found in drain cleaners are also not a threat to the sink.
