SUB-ZERO AND WOLF ANNOUNCE JUDGES FOR KITCHEN DESIGN CONTEST

Sub-Zero Freezer Company, the leading manufacturer of residential refrigeration, and Wolf Appliance Company, a leading manufacturer of professional cooking instruments, announced today the official panel of judges for the company's 2002/2003 Kitchen Design Contest. This prestigious contest held every two years honors design professionals who have helped make Sub-Zero and Wolf the definitive components of the uncompromised kitchen.

The contest judges hail from various disciplines within the kitchen design industry, and they will select winning entries with a good use of space, innovative and brilliant kitchen design and good use of a Sub-Zero and Wolf appliance in a well-designed, beautiful home. This year's judges are:

· Mick De Giulio, de Giulio kitchen design, inc., Chicago. De Giulio has been a judge for the past eight years and heads up a nationally recognized kitchen design firm with three offices in the Chicago area.

· Jamie Drake, Drake Design, New York. A recent inductee into Interior Design Magazine's Hall of Fame, Drake's New York-based firm completes jobs around the world for its clients.

· Gail Olsen, Ducci Kitchens, Inc., Torrington, CT. Olsen is a former president of the National Kitchen and Bath Association and has judged the contest once before.

· Kimball Derrick, K.D. and Steele Cabinetry, Cincinnati, OH. A previous winner in the Sub-Zero/Wolf Kitchen Design Contest, Derrick is involved in various aspects of design and construction of kitchens.

· Claudia Skylar, Mastro & Skylar Architects, Chicago. Skylar has been published in numerous national publications and has captured a regional first place in the contest two previous times.

· MaryJo Camp, McPhails Appliance, San Jose, CA. Camp is actively involved with the Kitchen and Bath Association at both the national and local level with innovative programming for designers and the appliance retailer, McPhails.

Entrants compete in a number of categories at the local level for the right to compete for national prize money and recognition from a contest that has become the one to win in the kitchen design community. In the last offering, nearly 1,000 entries from throughout North America were considered. Categories for this contest include the following:

Best kitchen utilizing a full-size Sub-Zero and Wolf cooking instrument(s) Best dealer showroom using both Sub-Zero and Wolf Best use of Sub-Zero's wine storage equipment outside of a kitchen Best use of a Sub-Zero and/or Wolf outside of a kitchen International Category: Best use of a Sub-Zero and/or Wolf

All design and construction must be fully completed within the contest period and all entries must be received by Sub-Zero/Wolf no later than January 19, 2004. The 50 regional winners from North America will receive cash and a trip for two to Arizona where they will compete for national honors. Cash prizes totaling $85,000 will be distributed to the national winners during the celebration in Arizona. Regional winners are also featured in Great American Kitchens, a custom-published book distributed nationally.
