Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. proudly announces the relocation and expansion of its Kitchen, Bath & Building Design Center from the 13th floor to the northwest region of The Merchandise Mart’s first floor. This new, luxury center will boast more than 70,000 square feet of space, and will showcase more than 25 boutique showrooms that feature the finest kitchen and bath products from the most recognized and respected manufacturers worldwide. The grand opening is scheduled for September 2003.
The new Kitchen, Bath & Building Design Center at The Mart will prove to be the ultimate shopping experience for both the consumer and the trade professional looking for the best in quality and selection, said Katherine Flaherty, vice president of Building Products & Special Projects, MMPI. We have worked diligently to provide a great collection of kitchen and bath showrooms and retailers that will entice people to come back to the design center multiple times, for both purchasing and design inspiration.
Open to the public, as well as interior designers, architects and custom builders, the Kitchen, Bath & Building Design Center will offer one-stop shopping for building and remodeling. The magnificent center will display the widest selection of products to fit all lifestyles, from modern European to classic American to traditional English. In addition to the extensive lineup of manufacturers, each kitchen and bath showroom offers knowledgeable designers who are available to assist with all phases of each design project.
The Kitchen, Bath & Building Design Center’s highly visible location, which offers exterior views through 14-foot windows along the front of The Merchandise Mart, Orleans Street and the North Drive, will allow the showrooms to accommodate the Monday through Saturday shopping. Special parking options are also being planned for ease of shopping at the new center.
In addition to industry leaders already in the Kitchen, Bath & Building Design Center including Christopher Peacock Cabinetry, Hastings Tile & Il Bagno Collection, Paris Ceramics, Poggenpohl, Rutt Handcrafted Cabinetry, Snaidero and Wood Mode, MMPI is pleased to announce that both de Giulio Kitchen Design, Inc. and Waterworks have joined the impressive roster. Each has signed a ten-year lease for over 2,000 and over 8,000 square feet of showroom space, respectively.
