Knape & Vogt Introduces Unique Slide-Out Shelves
Bringing the wasted space of a blind corner into the open has never been easier, thanks to a new series of slide-out shelves introduced at this year’s Kitchen/Bath Show.
Building on a heritage of kitchen storage and organization innovation, Knape & Vogt Manufacturing Co. introduced the Slide-Out Base Blind Corner Unit, a new offering from its Real Solutions For Real Life brand.
The Grand Rapids, Mich.-based manufacturer of kitchen and bath storage solutions and office products displayed the Slide-Out Base Blind Corner Unit, along with several other innovative products, at the Kitchen/Bath Industry Show 2004 in Chicago.
Blind corners have often been a necessary evil when designing or updating a kitchen, said Ryan Grevenstuk, KVR product manager. We wanted to make the space inside corner cabinets useful by providing a new solution that is both practical and innovative. The Slide-Out Base Blind Corner Unit brings the space inside a blind corner outside the cabinet, turning what was once useless into usable, easy to access space.
A quick pull of the handle allows half of the unit to gently slide out of the cabinet. Another pull slides the other half of the unit out of the cabinet, and exposes a series of adjustable storage shelves. The Slide-Out Base Blind Corner Unit features a series of smooth, quiet KV precision ball-bearing slides.
The natural birch wooden shelves measure 11.75 inches by 17.75 inches, and each shelf is surrounded by a chrome-plated, heavy gauge wire railing.
